Rhys has a degree in Physics and Philosophy from Oxford University and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Physics. He is involved in drafting and prosecution work in the UK, Europe and worldwide, covering a wide variety of subject matter, from electronics to mechanics, including many aspects of aerospace technology. He has worked extensively with University spin-out companies, in particular relating to LED technology. He has been involved in wide-ranging freedom to operate searches, IP audits and patent landscape reviews. He has also been involved in registered design work, both in the UK and Europe. Rhys is based in the Cardiff office, where he handles work for a range of different clients, including the local Universities. For the last three years, Rhys has been involved in a national technology competition across Wales, helping educate school children about intellectual property.
