Toby has an MSci in
Chemistry from the University of Nottingham and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from
the same University. Before joining Abel & Imray he spent five years
working for AstraZeneca in the area of medicinal chemistry, initially as a
Senior Research Scientist working in drug discovery, and subsequently as a Team
Leader with responsibility for a group working at the interface between medicinal
and process chemistry. He is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and
has a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of
London.
He is involved in drafting and prosecution work in the UK, Europe and
worldwide. His patent work covers the chemical field, and in particular the
area of pharmaceuticals.
Toby joined Abel & Imray in 2008 and is based in the firm’s London office.
